Our First Camping Trip

The girls of Troop 13 took part in their first camping trip in the cold of a late autumn weekend in November. The four girls and their leaders, along with the Webelos of Pack 56 spent the weekend at Camp Sayre in Plymouth in the middle of the Myles Standish State Forest.

While there, they built a washing station out of logs and rope and then proceeded to an even bigger project of building a monkey bridge. Of course, there was nice warm camp fire and s’mores, plus some time spent hiking and fishing, including catching and releasing some good size perch. Some of the girls even spent the cold night in hammocks. Overall, a very successful first overnight outing.
